Story of Days is built to be as easy as opening a notebook. Here's everything you can do — from your first entry to connecting with the people you love.
Create your space
Sign up in seconds — no credit card, no setup friction. Choose a username and you have a private journal, ready to use.
Everything is private by default. You decide what stays yours, what you share, and what gets locked away.
Write your days
Open the editor and start writing. Use daily prompts when you need a nudge, or skip them entirely. Every entry can be as short as a sentence or as long as it needs to be.
Set your mood, pick a privacy level, and add photos or voice notes. Your journal, your rules.
Keep, share, or lock
Mark entries private, share them with a partner or family member, or make them public for others to read. Each entry can have its own privacy setting.
You are always in control. Change the visibility of any entry at any time.
Connect with people
Invite a partner, family member, or close friend to share a connection. Read their entries (the ones they choose to share), write together, and keep shared notes.
Connections are mutual and require acceptance. You're never added without consent.
Seal a time capsule
Write a message to your future self — a letter, a wish, a prediction — and set a date for it to unlock. We'll email it to you when the time comes.
Time capsules are sealed and uneditable once created. They open themselves.
Build your stories
Organise your writing into stories and chapters. Share them publicly or keep them private. Other readers can react and follow your journey.
Stories are separate from journal entries — a place for longer, structured writing.

No ads. No selling your data. No algorithms deciding what you see. Your journal is yours — every entry, every word.
Common questions
Is my journal really private?
Yes. Entries marked private are visible only to you. We never read your content, sell your data, or show ads. Private entries are private.
What does sharing with a partner look like?
You connect with someone by sending an invite to their email. They accept, and then you can choose to share individual entries with them. They only see what you deliberately share — nothing else.
Can I export my data?
We're building an export feature. Until then, your entries live in your account and you can copy them at any time. You own your words.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
All of it — entries, stories, time capsules, shared notes, uploaded files — is permanently deleted. We send you a confirmation email with a count of everything removed.
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet. Story of Days works in any mobile browser. A native app is on the roadmap.
